Wherever I am, whomever I’m with

After explaining that Harvey could stop clocks and transport you anywhere you’d like with anyone you’d like, Dr. Shumway asked Elwood P. Dowd (Jimmy Stewart) if Elwood wouldn’t ask Harvey to do that for him. Harvey responded:

“So far I haven’t been able to think of any place I’d rather be… I always have a wonderful time, wherever I am, whomever I’m with.”

The doctor goes on then to explain his fantasy of where he’d like to go. I prefer Elwood’s perspective though :)

I heard HWN today through Mr. Dowd’s reminder to cherish the present!

Here’s the clip, from Harvey (1950). You only need to watch up until about 1:20 to get the context and quote:

Also here’s another great quote from Mr. Dowd later in the same conversation. Only 25 seconds, and another great principle :)
