The purpose behind my trails

I attended a fireside with Stephanie Nielson and her husband Christian tonight. They survived a plane crash in 2008, where Christian was burned on over 30% of his body and Stephanie on over 80% of her body. Both were in comas for several weeks (Stephanie for 3 months), and between the two of them they have undergone more than 50 surgeries.

One thought that impressed me (my HWN today) tonight was when Stephanie said that,

“Challenges become more manageable when we understand the purpose behind them.”

I don’t understand the purpose behind every one of my challenges… I would like to, and I think that will be a life-long journey in and of itself. In the meantime, I know that Heavenly Father understands the purpose of my trials, and He is shaping me to become my best me :) I’ll try to trust in His understanding while mine is incomplete.

Every trial and experience you have passed through is necessary for your salvation.
