My institute teacher referenced the story of Christ raising the daughter of Jairus tonight. Jairus first asked Christ to heal his daughter:

My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. (Mark 5:23)

And when Christ didn’t arrive before she died, Jairus felt like giving up, and Christ responded:

“Be not afraid, only believe.” (Mark 5:36)

He went on to raise her from the dead, even when people “laughed him to scorn” (Mark 5:40).

I believe that Christ performed this miracle! And my HWN today was connecting that faith with the reality that he can perform miracles for me in my life too!
