I would have waited 10 more years

My dad recently told me about a testimony he heard a church. A woman expressed gratitude for a blessing she had waited over a decade for… Then she said, “If I would have known how wonderful it would be, I would have waited 10 more years!”

How would her life have been different if she knew she would feel that way?

How can my life be different looking forward to that? How about yours?

Heavenly Father has promised us amazing things…

“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Cor 2:9)

I think we all have blessings we year for, and we can respond to that in different ways. Sometimes we feel afraid, anxious, impatient, hopeless… I know If I trusted more in Heavenly Father and in the things He has prepared for me, I could enjoy the present moment much more :)

My recent HWN has been in my efforts to trust in the Lord’s promised blessings :)

p.s. Check out these magical pictures I got of the frost a few days ago!

p.p.s. I got invited on a few awesome group dates recently :) One was a four-course meal hosted by the Colliers (in our YSA bishopric) and one was making Gingerbread Houses (check out our Graham Cracker Hogwarts… I know it looks like a church, but it’s supposed to be the Great Hall)!
